Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Accounting Manager in daily accounting transactions including purchasing, budget checking, income collection, and payment.
  • Serve as primary contact between internal School divisions and the University Finance Office to resolve financial matters.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process by preparing guidelines.
  • Manage inventory processes and library-related financial matters.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of income and expenditure statements.
  • Prepare monthly and external reports and conduct feasibility studies for financial decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with membership in a recognised professional accounting body.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in sizeable organisations.
  • Hands-on experience in purchasing accounting, budget checking, and payables; ERP/procurement workflow familiarity preferred.
  • Higher education or public sector experience is an advantage.
  • Proven supervisory capabilities and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Appointment

  • Full-time, fixed-term contract ending August 2027; re-appointment subject to mutual agreement and funding availability.
