Assistant Computer Officer

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide support and maintenance for the Faculty's administrative systems.
Own assigned application projects or system modules from requirements gathering through ongoing support.
Work with users to collect requirements, coordinate user acceptance testing, provide training, and ensure successful implementation.
Collaborate with team members, stakeholders and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related discipline from a recognised institution.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft .NET (C#), PHP, Next.js, React Native, Microsoft Power Platform, MS SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
Have experience across the full software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
Possess knowledge of software development project coordination and CI/CD practices.
Show familiarity with modern software development practices including AI-assisted programming and code generation tools.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical users.
Be self-motivated, proactive, mature, with strong ownership and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Have good command of spoken and written English.
Post-qualification work experience and proven track record in web-based application design and development are advantageous.

Contract — up to 2 years (renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement; includes contract-end gratuity for 2-year contract)
