Duties & Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for Art and Technology initiatives, including AI architecture for historical document analysis and museum metadata engineering.
Oversee multidisciplinary research projects involving data management and collaboration across schools, faculties, museums, and external institutions.
Develop project plans, implementation schedules, and quality control procedures to ensure effective governance and timely delivery.
Conduct research and evaluation of OCR, computer vision, and AI-assisted workflows for processing calligraphic and historical documents.
Manage AI/IT budgets, outsourcing, vendor coordination, and technical environment setup.
Facilitate collaboration between researchers, scholars, curators, educators, and technical specialists.
Supervise student interns and mentor the Art & Technology task force.

Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Library and Information Management, Data Science, Museum Studies, or related discipline.
At least 8 years' post-qualification relevant work experience, preferably in arts, information management, AI, or creative industries.
Solid foundation in digital humanities, cultural heritage, metadata, AI/OCR workflows, and project coordination.
Experience in a supervisory role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
Experience making grant applications.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of cursive calligraphy is a strong advantage.

Full-time — 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
