Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys along the MacLehose Trail to monitor and document recreation impacts.
- Measure and assess trail conditions, including soil erosion, vegetation degradation, and trail widening.
- Process data and perform spatial analyses using GIS and remote sensing to map habitat changes.
- Prepare educational and outreach materials promoting sustainable hiking and conservation awareness.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree or above in geography, environmental sciences, life sciences, biology, or related fields.
- Have proven field survey experience with strong passion for hiking, ecological research, and biodiversity conservation.
- Demonstrate practical experience or proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Possess outstanding physical fitness for demanding full-day outdoor fieldwork in rough terrain while carrying equipment.
- Have excellent written and spoken communication and organizational skills.
