Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement assessment efforts to inform evidence-based counselling practice and services.
  • Provide screening, risk assessment, individual and group counselling, crisis intervention, and consultation services.
  • Develop priorities and goals for counselling services and outreach programmes supporting student mental health.
  • Collaborate with the Student Wellness Team, faculty staff, and students to promote student wellbeing.
  • Receive regular supervision and engage in professional development opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work.
  • Be eligible for membership/registration with relevant professional bodies in Hong Kong or overseas.
  • Have at least 5 years' post-qualification counselling experience in tertiary education or mental health agencies.
  • Demonstrate bi/multilingual counselling capability in English and Cantonese.
  • Show evidence of organizing wellbeing programmes.
  • Possess passion for working with youth and young adults; experience with high-achieving populations is advantageous.

Appointment

  • Full-time, fixed-term contract for 2 years with possibility of renewal subject to funding and performance; contract-end gratuity and university retirement benefits contribution (up to 10% of basic salary) included.
