Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research in Chinese anthropology focusing on the Greater Bay Area, South China, Southwest China, or Southeast Asia.
- Demonstrate excellence in research and teaching with a strong publication record appropriate to career stage.
- Actively involve in the South China Research Centre in the School of Humanities and Social Science.
- Teach undergraduate courses and contribute to academic excellence in the division.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Anthropology or related field with expertise in Chinese anthropology.
- Strong publication record appropriate to career stage.
- For Associate Professor or Professor applicants: record of obtaining competitive external funding.
- Commitment to excellence in both research and teaching.
Appointment
- Full-time; Initial appointment as Assistant Professor normally on a three-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement; Associate Professor and Professor positions on permanent substantiation-track.
