Duties & Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Center for Language Education and its initiatives.
Lead language education research with an international profile and visible external impact.
Maximize technological innovation in teaching while adhering to pedagogic principles and ethical standards.
Ensure high-quality teaching standards and support students to reach their potential.
Collaborate with university departments to align language education with institutional practices.
Communicate transparently in decision-making within and beyond the Center.
Work as Associate Dean with the Associate Provost on university language education missions.

Demonstrated distinguished academic research record in AI in language studies, applied linguistics, or related fields.
Proven commitment to excellence and leadership in curriculum development and pedagogy.
Track record of driving innovation in AI and language education.
Substantial experience leveraging digital technologies for language teaching and learning.
Understanding of language education's role in prestigious English-medium instruction universities in Hong Kong.

Full-time; three-year fixed-term contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement; research-active applicants with substantial publications may be considered for substantive track appointment.
