Finance Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead financial planning, budgetary control, compliance, and business development initiatives within the Faculty.
Support efficient budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with University planning.
Ensure compliance with external and internal governance requirements including financial controls and cost allocations.
Provide financial analysis to support business growth and evaluate implications of new activities and collaborations.
Supervise and coach subordinates while providing operational support to senior executives.
Develop the finance team to enhance departmental effectiveness and manage internal customer relationships.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline with recognised accounting qualification.
Minimum 8 years' professional finance/accounting experience, including 3 years post-qualification.
Ability to work with significant independence and sound judgement.
Strong understanding of governance and compliance, preferably in public sector or large organisations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.
Proficiency in MS Office, Oracle financial system, and QlikView business intelligence tools.
Innovative mindset with ability to work under pressure and drive change.

Full-time contract — two-year fixed-term with possibility of renewal subject to funding and performance; includes contract-end gratuity and up to 10% University retirement benefits contribution.
