Duties & Responsibilities

Gather qualitative research data using photography, interviews, and other methods on cultural heritage representation in urban Hong Kong.
Analyze linguistic and visual data from interviews and photographs.
Engage with academic materials on linguistic anthropology, ethnography, translation studies, and discourse analysis.
Contribute actively to project discussions and meetings.
Provide basic translation and interpreting assistance as needed.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in academic research.
Excellent project organization and management skills.
Solid understanding of academic issues related to language and identity.
Broad knowledge of Hong Kong's cultural and political landscape.
Fluency in Cantonese and/or other Hong Kong community languages is advantageous.
Background in linguistics, translation studies, anthropology, sociology, or cultural studies preferred.
Master's degree or PhD is an asset.
Strong academic English writing ability.
