Laboratory Officer (S&T)

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare materials and equipment for laboratory classes.
Demonstrate experiments and provide instrument training to students and laboratory users.
Assist in setting up laboratories for teaching, competition, and research purposes.
Manage licenses, purchasing orders, and inventory for laboratory facilities.
Ensure safety and security compliance in laboratories.
Provide technical support to academic staff and students.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with relevant post-qualification experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electronics, electrical, mechanical, robotics engineering, AI, and circuit building/testing.
Strong practical skills in circuit construction, PCB assembly, soldering, and electronic tools.
Proven experience in microcontroller programming and interfacing.
Proficiency in high-level and/or low-level programming languages for embedded systems.
Demonstrated experience in laboratory or workshop management including equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
Willingness to provide flexible support including occasional evening or weekend work.
Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
Experience in embodied AI or robot building is advantageous.
