Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach Bahasa Indonesia at various levels to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop course materials, assessments, and content courses in Indonesian and Southeast Asian studies.
- Contribute to the development of the Southeast Asian Studies concentration within the Global and Area Studies programme.
- Support preparations for establishing a new Centre for Southeast Asian Studies.
- Undertake related administrative duties and encouraged research activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- For Lecturer: Master's degree and minimum 5 years of tertiary-level Bahasa Indonesia teaching experience.
- For Assistant Lecturer: Master's degree and minimum 3 years of tertiary-level teaching experience.
- Native or near-native fluency in Bahasa Indonesia with excellent English communication skills.
- Knowledge of current trends in language teaching, assessment, and AI in education.
- Preference for candidates with Ph.D. (or near completion) and ability to teach Indonesian/Southeast Asian history, culture, or society.
Appointment
- Fixed-term contract of 2 years with possibility of renewal subject to performance and funding availability.
