Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach Bahasa Indonesia at various levels to non-native speakers.
- Develop course materials and assessments for language instruction.
- Contribute to the Southeast Asian Studies concentration within the undergraduate Global and Area Studies programme.
- Support preparations for the establishment of a new Centre for Southeast Asian Studies.
- Undertake related administrative duties and encouraged research activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Possess a relevant Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred or nearing completion).
- For Lecturer: at least 5 years of tertiary-level teaching experience in Bahasa Indonesia to non-native speakers.
- For Assistant Lecturer: at least 3 years of tertiary-level teaching experience.
- Be a native or near-native speaker of Bahasa Indonesia with excellent English communication skills.
- Be conversant with current trends in language teaching, assessment, and AI in teaching and learning.
- Preference given to candidates able to teach content courses in Indonesian and Southeast Asian history, culture, or society.
Appointment
- Full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal subject to performance and availability of funding.
