Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching and learning activities across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Chinese language studies.
- Supervise students and contribute to curriculum and programme development.
- Support departmental teaching initiatives and implement innovative pedagogical practices.
- Plan and implement academic activities, events, and initiatives aligned with departmental priorities.
- Supervise teaching practicum and field experience in teacher education programmes.
- Participate in departmental activities and provide service to the University and wider community.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Expertise in Chinese Language Education, Teaching Chinese as an International Language (TCSL), or Chinese language pedagogy.
- Knowledge of Classical Chinese, Chinese linguistics, etymology, classical texts, or digital approaches in Chinese studies.
- Ability to teach across Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Digital Chinese Culture and Communication, Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Chinese Language), and MA in Teaching Chinese as an International Language programmes.
