Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate German language, business German, and German culture courses.
- Design, prepare, and revise syllabuses, assessments, and teaching materials including self-access learning resources.
- Integrate technology to enhance foreign language teaching and learning.
- Organise events, workshops, and co-curricular activities to develop students' language proficiency and cultural competence.
- Perform other duties assigned by departmental leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 6 years of tertiary-level teaching experience in German as a foreign language, preferably with Asian learners.
- Native or near-native proficiency in German and fluency in English.
- Experience in course coordination and development with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Applicants with less experience may be considered for Lecturer II position.
Appointment
- Fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing September 2026; re-appointment subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and funding availability.
