Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate Spanish language and culture courses.
- Lead the design, preparation, and revision of syllabuses, assessments, and teaching materials.
- Integrate technology to enhance language teaching and learning.
- Organise events, workshops, and co-curricular activities to develop students' language proficiency and cultural competence.
- Perform other duties assigned by departmental leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of tertiary-level teaching experience in Spanish as a foreign language, preferably with Asian learners.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and fluency in English.
- Experience in course coordination and development with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Applicants with less experience may be considered for a Lecturer II position.
Appointment
- Fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing September 2026.
- Re-appointment subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and funding availability.
- Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
