Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach introductory Korean civilization courses covering premodern to contemporary periods.
- Lead intermediate-level seminars and supervise final-year research projects in Korean Studies.
- Contribute to the Master of Arts in East Asian Studies programme.
- Preferably teach seminars in cinema, visual studies, popular culture, and gender and sexuality.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in Korean Studies or a related field.
- Have at least six years of full-time teaching experience at tertiary level.
- Demonstrate excellent teaching record with experience in seminars and research supervision.
- Teach all courses in English.
Appointment
- Fixed-term contract for two years with possibility of renewal; start date August 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
