Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze data and operational needs to identify opportunities for applying artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
- Design, develop, deploy, and improve secure AI solutions including agentic and RAG workflows using LangGraph and LangChain.
- Provide research and technical support to the Masters Programmes Office in admissions, student performance, career services, and programme administration.
- Collaborate with academic, administrative, IT, and data-governance stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Manage the production lifecycle of AI applications, APIs, system integrations, and data pipelines, including cloud deployment and monitoring.
- Stay informed about developments in artificial intelligence and evaluate their potential application within the Faculty.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant software, machine-learning, or AI engineering experience with proven record of deploying production generative-AI applications.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience building production APIs using FastAPI or equivalent framework.
- Production experience with LangGraph and LangChain required.
- Strong knowledge of LLM and agent integration, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and responsible AI practices.
- Hands-on experience developing multimodal pipelines for speech, documents, images, and video.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and MLOps or LLMOps practices.
- Experience in higher education and proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are advantageous.
Appointment
- Full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance; includes contract-end gratuity and University contribution to retirement benefits scheme (up to 10% of basic salary).
