Duties & Responsibilities

Analyze data and operational needs to identify opportunities for applying artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
Design, develop, deploy, and improve secure AI solutions including agentic and RAG workflows using LangGraph and LangChain.
Provide research and technical support to the Masters Programmes Office in admissions, student performance, career services, and programme administration.
Collaborate with academic, administrative, IT, and data-governance stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
Manage the production lifecycle of AI applications, APIs, system integrations, and data pipelines, including cloud deployment and monitoring.
Stay informed about developments in artificial intelligence and evaluate their potential application within the Faculty.

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
Approximately 5 years of relevant software, machine-learning, or AI engineering experience with proven record of deploying production generative-AI applications.
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience building production APIs using FastAPI or equivalent framework.
Production experience with LangGraph and LangChain required.
Strong knowledge of LLM and agent integration, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and responsible AI practices.
Hands-on experience developing multimodal pipelines for speech, documents, images, and video.
Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and MLOps or LLMOps practices.
Experience in higher education and proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are advantageous.

Full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance; includes contract-end gratuity and University contribution to retirement benefits scheme (up to 10% of basic salary).
