Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and review university engagement, communication, marketing, and branding strategies.
  • Plan and implement university-wide events, programmes, and campaigns, particularly in the Chinese Mainland.
  • Produce promotional materials including publications and souvenirs.
  • Build academic exchanges and collaborations with Chinese Mainland institutions through networks and alliances.
  • Supervise branch offices in the Chinese Mainland to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Negotiate and review partnership agreements between the university and external institutions.
  • Collaborate with internal faculties and departments to develop engagement initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Deep understanding of Chinese Mainland context, culture, and established networks with government, universities, media, and industries.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua proficiency is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, management, organisational, and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.

Appointment

  • Full-time, fixed-term contract of 2 years; re-appointment subject to performance review and mutual agreement.
