Part-time Editor (carrying the job title of ‘AI specialist in Publishing’)

Duties & Responsibilities

Apply AI and NLP technologies to optimize editorial workflows including translation, proofreading, and Chinese character conversion.
Develop and manage an integrated document-processing platform and proprietary knowledge base using RAG systems.
Explore innovative digital publishing strategies and products suited to the AI era.
Serve as a liaison between technical development and publishing practices to integrate emerging technologies into operations.

Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or a related interdisciplinary field.
Proficiency in generative AI, large language models, and NLP with ability to evaluate, deploy, and fine-tune AI models.
Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, and knowledge base construction.
Full-stack development skills including Python/Node.js, React, PostgreSQL/Elasticsearch, Nginx, and Docker.
Solid understanding of academic publishing, editorial practices, and translation workflows.
Proven experience in leveraging AI for translation, editorial workflows, or knowledge base construction is highly preferred.

Part-time contract — 1 year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
