Part-time Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the project leader with research on conversational structure in interaction with intelligent agents.
Apply linguistic annotations to conversational corpus data accurately.
Correct machine-annotated corpus data manually.
Conduct inter-annotator agreement tests.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the project leader.
Work at least eight hours per week.

Postdoctoral Fellow: PhD in English Language Studies or equivalent, with no more than five years post-qualification experience.
Research Associate: Master's degree in English Language Studies or good honours degree with three or more years research/relevant work experience.
Both posts: Good English communication skills and familiarity with British and American English conversation.
Preference given to candidates with quantitative and qualitative research experience, past corpus annotation work, understanding of inter-annotator agreement tests, and high English proficiency.
