Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the project investigator in implementing all aspects of a research project on acoustic analysis of tone in the Hmong language.
Support data processing, programming, and statistical analysis activities.
Provide administrative support to the project.
Carry out other duties as assigned by the project investigator.

Hold a recognized bachelor's degree or higher in linguistics, computer science, or data science.
Preferably possess a higher degree and familiarity with acoustic data analysis.
Demonstrate strong responsibility, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Be proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Praat, and R.
Have experience with corpus analysis tools, programming languages (Python, R), and transcription/annotation software.
Possess outstanding written and spoken English and Chinese language abilities.
Preference given to candidates with relevant research or project administration experience.
