Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead fieldwork in marine and coastal ecosystems for habitat restoration projects.
- Conduct sample collection, processing, and laboratory analyses.
- Lead data analysis and contribute to manuscript, report, and grant proposal preparation.
- Oversee junior research staff and research assistants on the team.
- Supervise and mentor students involved in related research projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in marine ecology, marine biology, biogeochemistry, geochemistry, environmental science, or related discipline.
- Strong research experience in field-based marine ecology and leading marine fieldwork.
- Demonstrated experience with marine restoration ecology.
- Track record of question-driven research with publications or outputs commensurate with career stage.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Appointment
- Full-time — 3-year contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and future funding.
