Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze interlinkages, synergies, and trade-offs between wildfire regimes and environmental sustainability at various scales.
  • Develop frameworks and indicator systems to evaluate ecological and environmental impacts of wildfires under different climate and policy scenarios.
  • Conduct quantitative research on wildfires using advanced modeling, remote sensing, or geospatial techniques.
  • Assist the PI with data collection, project management, and grant applications.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, Ecology, or related discipline required.
  • Strong quantitative background and experience in environmental modeling, geospatial analysis, or data-driven research methodologies.
  • Previous experience in wildfire research, climate change impacts, or sustainability assessment highly preferred.

Appointment

  • Contract — 2 to 3 years
