Duties & Responsibilities

Support research and implementation of a longitudinal study of early childhood development in Hong Kong.
Collect, clean, and analyse research data while ensuring accuracy, quality, and integrity.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports detailing research methods, findings, and implications.
Develop manuscripts for academic journals and present research findings at conferences.
Assist in drafting research grant proposals to secure funding.
Supervise and co-supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and junior research staff.
Perform other research duties as assigned to support project success.

Hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent qualification in sociology or a closely related social sciences discipline.
Demonstrate excellent written and spoken proficiency in both English and Chinese.
Possess strong quantitative research skills demonstrated through experience or coursework.
Be proficient in statistical software such as Stata, R, or other relevant tools.
Have experience or interest in research on child and youth development, family studies, education, or health disparities.
Preferably have experience in data collection projects.
Show high attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Full-time, two-year contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
