Duties & Responsibilities

Design, implement, and analyze research projects on marine ecology and biogeochemistry using stable isotope tools.
Conduct and coordinate fieldwork in marine and coastal ecosystems, including sample collection, processing, and laboratory analyses.
Lead data analysis and contribute to preparing manuscripts, reports, and grant proposals.
Oversee junior research staff and provide supervision and mentoring to students on related projects.
Contribute to research-led teaching activities and support for the MSc programme in marine ecology and conservation.

Ph.D. degree in marine ecology, marine biology, biogeochemistry, geochemistry, environmental science, or related discipline.
Strong research experience in field-based marine ecology with demonstrated leadership of marine or coastal fieldwork.
Demonstrated expertise in stable isotope analyses and related data analyses in ecological or biogeochemical contexts.
Track record of question-driven research evidenced by publications or research outputs commensurate with career stage.
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills with ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams.

Full-time contract — two years, with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and future funding.
