Duties & Responsibilities

Design, implement and analyze research projects on marine ecology and biogeochemistry using stable isotope tools.
Conduct and coordinate fieldwork in marine and coastal ecosystems, including sample collection, processing and laboratory analyses.
Lead data analysis and contribute to manuscript, report and grant proposal preparation.
Oversee junior research staff and provide supervision and mentoring to students.
Contribute to research-led teaching activities and MSc programme support as agreed with programme leadership.

Ph.D. degree in marine ecology, marine biology, biogeochemistry, geochemistry, environmental science, or related discipline.
Strong research experience in field-based marine ecology with ability to lead or coordinate marine or coastal fieldwork.
Demonstrated experience with stable isotope analyses and related data analyses in ecological or biogeochemical contexts.
Track record of question-driven research evidenced by publications or research outputs commensurate with career stage.
Excellent communication, organizational and collaborative skills with ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams.

Full-time, fixed-term contract for two years with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and future funding.
