Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in a General Research Fund research project and generate research output independently.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on joint research projects.
- Prepare research proposals for competitive grant applications.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a PhD degree or equivalent in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or related Social Sciences fields.
- Demonstrate a strong publication record in high-quality international journals or refereed publications.
- Possess knowledge of the Chinese media system and global social media environment and governance (desirable).
- Have experience in computational social science, causal inference, machine learning, multimodal data analysis, or AI applications in communication studies (advantageous).
Appointment
- Full-time contract for 18 months with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

- Commencement: Fourth quarter of 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
