Duties & Responsibilities

Design and develop advanced electric power system architectures for autonomous platforms and laboratory systems.
Lead research in smart electric power hybridisation including batteries, supercapacitors, and renewable integration.
Develop control and energy management strategies for self-driven power systems.
Support implementation of autonomous chemical and materials synthesis operations using robotic systems.
Build and validate simulation and experimental prototypes for drones, robotic systems, and autonomous laboratory infrastructure.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in electrical engineering, robotics, control, AI, chemistry, and materials science.
Publish high-impact research outcomes and contribute to project reports and grant activities.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or closely related discipline required.
Doctoral degree in Power System Design and Development or relevant field required.
Strong track record of research and expertise in electric power system engineering and smart power hybridisation.
Experience with embedded power electronics and real-time control systems.
Hands-on experience with UAV/drone, robotic, or autonomous platform power systems.
Proficiency in modelling/simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or PLECS.
Experience in prototype development, testing, and system validation.
Strong publication record and excellent scientific communication skills.
Preference given to candidates with multidisciplinary research experience in autonomous or robotic systems.
