Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead a research team conducting data analysis on genomic/metagenomic sequencing, ecological surveillance, and environmental data.
- Develop analysis pipelines for various data types.
- Work off-campus and outside standard hours occasionally, including weekends.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Biology or related disciplines.
- Solid knowledge of chemistry and biology with excellent spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Preferably experienced in virology research and bioinformatic data analysis including microbiome, virome, and environmental metagenomics.
- Logical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; preference given to those with virus transmission experience.
Appointment
- Full-time temporary contract for one to three years with possible renewal subject to funding and satisfactory performance.
