Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling, isolation, and sequencing analysis of microorganisms including staphylococci, streptococci, and Vibrio species.
- Perform metagenomics research and analyze sequence data within the Global Microbial Genomics lab.
- Isolate and analyze bacteriophages under Principal Investigator supervision.
- Handle administrative tasks including product ordering and report writing.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD degree in microbiology or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in microbiology, molecular biology, and sequence analysis.
- Fluent in written and spoken English with strong teamwork and attention to detail.
- Cantonese or Mandarin fluency is an asset but not required.
Appointment
- Full-time contract — up to 36 months
