Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the project leader in researching oracle complexity bounds of first-order methods for nonsmooth optimization.
- Conduct theoretical analysis, algorithm implementation, and numerical experiments.
- Perform literature reviews and research writing.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a doctoral degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at time of application.
- Background in nonlinear/stochastic optimization is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB is preferred.
