Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct molecular testing on field samples to detect viral, fungal, and infectious agents from animals in Hong Kong.
- Lead DNA/RNA extraction, PCR analysis, sequence interpretation, and design novel assays.
- Coordinate field samples and associated data while presenting findings regularly.
- Manage stock, inventory, and safe working procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field; PhD preferred for Postdoctoral Fellow positions.
- Strong expertise in molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics analysis of sequencing data.
- Excellent English communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with ELISA, infectious disease research, and Cantonese/Mandarin language skills are advantageous.
Appointment
- Full-time, 12-month contract with possibility of extension.
