Duties & Responsibilities

Lead strategic development of maritime programmes and ensure efficient Institute operation.
Plan and manage staff and resource allocation.
Develop, validate and accredit maritime programmes.
Serve on Programme Boards, Boards of Examiners and academic committees.
Develop and monitor quality policies and training standards.
Maintain industry and professional body partnerships.
Initiate new services and programmes aligned with industry needs.
Develop consultancy and corporate training opportunities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Perform teaching duties and supervise student projects as needed.

Bachelor's degree and postgraduate qualification in related discipline required.
Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) Class 1 or Marine Engineer Officer Class 1 preferred.
Minimum 8 years' supervisory experience in maritime field; seagoing experience advantageous.
Strong professional development record and networking ability.
Understanding of current and future vocational and maritime education trends.
Track record in industry networking, student placements and programme development.
Strong leadership, management, interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in English and Chinese (Putonghua preferred).
