Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, intellectual, and visionary leadership to grow the Department's research and educational missions.
- Lead the expansion of the Department's professoriate and shape its academic direction.
- Report to the Dean of Engineering and oversee approximately 20 core faculty members.
- Guide the Department's focus on data science, AI, machine learning, and intelligent systems integration.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold or be eligible for appointment as Professor.
- Demonstrate expertise aligned with the Department's research areas in data science, AI, and systems engineering.
- Evidence of strong leadership capability and vision for departmental growth.
- Track record of research excellence and educational innovation.
Appointment
- Full-time; Head of Department appointment for initial term of three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
