Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Intelligent Railway Engineering under Strategic Hiring Scheme

Duties & Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in railway engineering and related fields such as transit engineering and intelligent infrastructure.
Conduct high-impact research leading to top-tier journal publications and secure competitive research funding.
Lead mission-driven research programmes aligned with the center's objectives, including development and commercialization of prototypes and digital-twin platforms.
Supervise student projects and MSc and PhD dissertations.
Participate in scholarly, industrial and consultancy activities with rail transit manufacturers, operators, and government agencies.
Develop and manage subjects, curricula and pedagogical approaches for existing and new postgraduate programmes.

PhD in Railway, Civil, Transportation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Computer or Data Science, or closely related discipline.
Expertise in intelligent railway technologies including smart materials, railway monitoring and control, or intelligent maintenance of rail infrastructure.
Strong record of high-quality, high-impact research demonstrated through journal publications, competitive grants, patents, prototypes or industrial collaborations.
Demonstrated ability to establish an independent, externally funded research programme and lead interdisciplinary, industry-engaged projects.
Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in English for teaching and presentations.
For Professor level: excellence in teaching, outstanding international research reputation, and proven experience leading academic teams.
