Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives within the recently established HKU Research Hub of Population Studies.
- Teach and supervise students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in leading academic journals.
- Contribute to the Department's research and teaching in population-related areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Demography or Sociology.
- Strong scholarly track record with publications in leading academic journals.
- Expertise in areas such as low fertility societies, family dynamics, migration, health, mortality, or computational/AI approaches to population research.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership.
Appointment
- Full-time; Professor or Associate Professor position; exceptional candidates may be considered for direct tenure.
