Duties & Responsibilities

Teach core multimedia journalism classes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in English.
Teach professional courses such as broadcast journalism, photojournalism, audio storytelling, and investigative journalism as needed.
Monitor digital industry trends and advise on equipment purchases to keep curriculum current.
Create and develop curriculum, design syllabuses, and mentor students.
Advise student news publications and maintain industry connections.
Organize events, workshops, and extracurricular activities related to journalism.

Hold a master's degree or PhD in journalism or a closely related communication field from an accredited institution.
Have extensive professional journalism experience, especially in multimedia, broadcast, and online journalism.
Possess hands-on experience with digital production equipment including professional cameras, recorders, microphones, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Have experience with SEO, social media journalism, mobile journalism, Generative AI tools, and front-page management.
University-level teaching experience is preferable.
Ability to design and deliver online content is advantageous.

Fixed-term contract of up to two years, commencing September 2026 or mutually agreed date.

Start date: September 2026 (or mutually agreed date).
Review period: 4 months after application submission (unsuccessful if not invited for interview by this date).
