Project Associate / Project Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the project leader in operating the Joint Chinese Textile Centre between PolyU and the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
Design, develop, and maintain a structured database for exhibits from the Chris Hall collection and other museum holdings.
Conduct regular data entry, validation, and updating to ensure database accuracy and completeness.
Liaise with project leaders, curators, and technical staff to identify data needs and improve database functionality.
Support data collection and organisation for research and documentation purposes.
Assist in drafting procedural guidelines for data management and database usage.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the project leader or Dean of School.

Master's degree in Humanities (preferably Chinese History, Cultural History, or Art History) OR honours degree in these fields with 3+ years of relevant work experience for Project Associate role.
Honours degree in Humanities fields OR equivalent qualification with 2+ years of relevant work experience for Project Assistant role.
Knowledge of and experience with academic and museum databases and library resources.
Experience in data entry with strong ability to search, collect, and organise research materials.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
