Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement policies and procedures for registration, storage, transportation, acquisitions, and insurance of museum collections and loans.
- Handle art objects in the museum's care and assist in preparing exhibitions, tutorials, and viewing sessions.
- Conduct internal and external liaison work and escort outgoing loans to exhibition venues outside Hong Kong.
- Assist team managers in administrative tasks, supervise subordinates and interns, and consolidate the Collections' database and archives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies, Art History, History, Cultural Management, or related fields.
- Related work experience in museum or collections management.
- Knowledge of or interest in fine art, particularly Chinese art.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Ability to multitask, work independently and as a team member under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word-processing.
Appointment
- Full-time contract — 1 year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
