Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement policies and procedures for registration, storage, transportation, acquisitions, and insurance of museum collections and loans.
  • Handle art objects in the museum's care and assist in preparing exhibitions, tutorials, and viewing sessions.
  • Conduct internal and external liaison work and escort outgoing loans to exhibition venues outside Hong Kong.
  • Assist team managers in administrative tasks, supervise subordinates and interns, and consolidate the Collections' database and archives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies, Art History, History, Cultural Management, or related fields.
  • Related work experience in museum or collections management.
  • Knowledge of or interest in fine art, particularly Chinese art.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and as a team member under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word-processing.

Appointment

  • Full-time contract — 1 year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
