Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Purchasing Manager in managing the procurement function.
- Supervise Assistant Purchasing Officers and Purchasing Officers on daily procurement tasks.
- Ensure proper internal control and governance of the procurement function.
- Review and monitor tender and quotation processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct procurement analyses and compile management reports and board papers.
- Liaise with internal departments and suppliers on cost-effective purchasing initiatives and special projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in a sizeable procurement organisation.
- Prior experience in educational institutions is preferred.
- Professional qualification in procurement or supply chain management is advantageous.
- Demonstrates can-do attitude, pleasant personality, integrity, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Appointment
- Fixed-term contract of 2 years, with re-appointment subject to mutual agreement and funding availability.
