Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced sound propagation modelling for UAV/eVTOL noise in urban environments with complex terrain and atmospheric conditions.
  • Develop and implement high-efficiency numerical algorithms for noise prediction and simulation.
  • Analyze environmental impacts on urban communities and ecosystems, and support evidence-based regulatory recommendations.
  • Collaborate with team members on experimental validation, data processing, and reporting for the LAE Regulatory Sandbox project.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at relevant conferences.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related field.
  • Strong experience in analytical analysis of wave propagation.
  • Proven expertise in developing high-efficiency algorithms for computational modelling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, Fortran, or C++ with scientific computing experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Background in aeroacoustics, sound propagation modelling, or environmental noise assessment is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with urban environmental modelling or aviation noise research is advantageous.
