Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experimental measurements of drone and eVTOL noise in anechoic chambers and outdoor environments.
- Develop and validate physics-based noise source models for UAV/eVTOL rotors.
- Process and analyse acoustic measurement data to characterise noise signatures.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive noise database for environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with team members and publish research findings in high-impact journals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
- Hands-on experience in acoustic or aeroacoustic experiments, including anechoic chamber and field testing.
- Proficiency in acoustic data processing and analysis, including spectral methods and beamforming.
- Strong background in aeroacoustics, particularly rotor/propeller noise mechanisms (highly preferred).
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Fortran, or C++ and scientific computing experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
