Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with data annotation for large-scale government documents.
- Help train machine learning models for text classification.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analyses.
- Contribute to manuscript and grant drafting.
- Perform other research-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computational Social Science, Data Science, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology or related fields (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong programming skills in R and/or Python.
- Experience with data annotation, textual analysis, machine learning, and large language models.
- Understanding of Chinese government and policy systems.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong data analysis and paper writing skills.
Appointment
- Contract — one year, commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability.
