Research Assistant (Full-time/Part-time)

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the project leader in managing the research project on dysarthria diagnosis using ultrasound tongue imaging.
Recruit human subjects and perform data collection for the study.
Conduct data analysis including ultrasound tongue imaging, acoustic analysis, and IPA transcription of Cantonese.
Assist in literature review and preparation of grant-related documents.
Perform other duties as assigned by the project leader.

Hold a Master's degree or good honours degree in Linguistics, Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience or related discipline.
Have experience conducting and managing ultrasound tongue imaging procedures for speech research.
Possess basic knowledge in phonetics.
Have fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
Be proficient in SPSS, R, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Demonstrate good teamwork, interpersonal skills, and organisational skills.
Native Cantonese speakers or those familiar with Cantonese are preferred.

Full-time/Part-time — Two months initially, with possibility of further appointment.
