Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with literature review and preparation of research materials for a grammar instruction project.
Support development and validation of testing and training stimuli.
Recruit participants, schedule sessions, and maintain communication with them.
Conduct data collection through acceptability judgment tests, metalinguistic knowledge tests, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and oral production tasks.
Perform data entry, cleaning, coding, transcription, and preliminary analysis.
Conduct qualitative coding of learner verbalisation and interview/focus group data.
Provide administrative and secretariat support for the project.
Liaise with schools, teachers, students, and research collaborators.
Assist in organising research workshops, meetings, and dissemination activities.

Bachelor's degree in English Language, Applied Linguistics, Education, Psychology, or related discipline.
Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Proficient in computer literacy and common office applications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Careful, responsible, and self-motivated attitude.
Preference given to candidates with experience in second language acquisition research, data collection, statistical analysis using R, or research administration.
