Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct research on social media use/misuse and its relationship to education and well-being.
Collect, manage, and analyze data using various research methods.
Design and conduct intervention studies on cyberbullying and stigmatization.
Write journal papers, grant proposals, and present research findings.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement research studies.

Ph.D. degree in psychology, communication, education, human development, HCI, or related field (or expected by May 2026).
Strong background in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.
First-author peer-reviewed journal article(s) demonstrating strong writing and conceptualization skills.
Knowledge of current theories and research in social media and psychology.
Experience with multiple data types (big data, longitudinal data, mixed-methods social media research).
Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred: Research experience and proficiency in R or statistical software for multi-wave data analysis.
