# Research Assistant I - Faculty of Dentistry

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage laboratory bookings, teaching schedules, research activities and faculty visits.
Serve as primary on-site super user for simulator systems and provide technical support to students and faculty.
Perform routine system checks, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of simulators and equipment.
Monitor consumable supplies and handle vendor quotations and procurement.
Assist in equipment operation during teaching sessions, assessments, and practical examinations.
Support development of teaching cases and simulation-based learning materials.
Assist with Institutional Review Board documentation and compliance procedures.
Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, equipment maintenance, and research progress.
Assist with attendance-taking and access control during teaching sessions.
Work outside normal office hours occasionally as required.

Bachelor's degree or above in Biomedical Engineering, Health Technology, Dental Therapy, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Strong aptitude for learning and operating simulation and technology-enhanced systems.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electronic equipment.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team-based academic environments.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and scheduling platforms.
Excellent written and spoken English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.
