Duties & Responsibilities

Participate in virology or immunology experimental work and viral genome analysis.
Develop bioinformatics pipelines and analyze high-throughput sequencing data.
Conduct statistical and dynamical modelling of infectious disease transmission.
Develop machine learning and deep learning models for disease prediction and analysis.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team on infectious disease systems immunology and viral evolution.

Bachelor's degree or above in Virology, Immunology, Microbiology, Pathogen Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (R, Python, C, or C++).
Strong interest in research on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
Experience in systems immunology, viral evolution, transmission dynamics modelling, or deep learning applications (preferred).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.
Responsible, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience in statistical modelling, machine learning frameworks, Linux/HPC bioinformatics, or experimental techniques (advantageous).

Full-time contract — one year, with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
