Duties & Responsibilities
- Support marine ecology research projects through field surveys and experiments in coastal ecosystems.
- Conduct sample processing, basic laboratory analyses, and data entry/management.
- Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and other research outputs.
- Support teaching activities for an MSc programme in marine ecology and conservation, including field-based teaching and student research projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marine biology, ecology, environmental science, or related discipline required.
- Demonstrated experience in marine ecology and coastal fieldwork including field surveys and data collection.
- Master's degree and/or substantial prior research experience preferred for Research Assistant I appointment.
- SCUBA diving certification preferred but not essential for strong field experience candidates.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Appointment
- Full-time — One year contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
