Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact for participants in an existing birth cohort study on non-communicable diseases and cardiovascular health.
Coordinate day-to-day fieldwork operations and manage project logistics, timelines, and administrative duties.
Conduct participant recruitment, fieldwork coordination, and clinical/epidemiological data collection.
Handle data management including extraction, quality control, and assisting with data analysis.
Prepare reports and may work outside regular office hours occasionally.

Hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or related life/medical sciences.
Have hands-on experience in participant recruitment, fieldwork coordination, and data collection.
Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrate fluent spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
Have basic data analysis knowledge and proficiency in statistical software (e.g. R) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Be detail-oriented, logical, self-motivated, and able to work independently within a team.
Prior cardiovascular or non-communicable disease research experience is advantageous.

Full-time, one-year temporary contract with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
