Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in research on infectious disease epidemiology and modeling in Hong Kong.
- Conduct statistical analysis, agent-based modeling, machine learning, and simulations.
- Perform literature reviews and data cleaning.
- Prepare publications and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, computational biology or related disciplines.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility and detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Essential knowledge of quantitative skills and statistical analysis.
- Preferred experience in data analysis, infectious disease epidemiology, and proficiency in R, C++, Matlab, or Python.
Appointment
- Full-time — one-year temporary term contract with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
