Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and execute nucleic acid amplification testing protocols for pathogen detection in public health surveillance.
Perform nucleic acid extraction and conduct related laboratory procedures.
Document experimental procedures, results, and protocols to ensure reproducibility and quality standards compliance.

Master's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Virology, or related fields.
Minimum two years of relevant hands-on experience in nucleic acid analysis or related biomedical fields.
Solid knowledge and experience in nucleic acid amplification techniques (PCR, qPCR, LAMP, RPA) and contamination control.
Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) and CRISPR technology.
Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) with strong communication skills.
Problem-solving abilities and collaborative teamwork skills are highly valued.
Understanding of electrochemical principles and instrumentation is a bonus.

Full-time — One-year temporary term contract with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
