Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist project leader with epigenetic regulation and glaucoma research involving DNA methylation inhibition.
- Perform gene editing, RT-PCR, western blot analysis, confocal microscopy, and electrophysiological experiments.
- Conduct animal work and data analysis.
- Execute plasmid construction, siRNA construction, cell transfection, flow cytometry, and primary cell culture.
- Prepare academic manuscripts for publication and project proposals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold an honours degree in Biology, Pharmacology, Life Science, Physiology, or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Work effectively as a team player and independently.
- Be self-motivated and well-organised.
- Preference given to applicants with three years of research experience or two years of mice handling experience.
Appointment
- Full-time — 12 months initially, with possibility of further appointment.
